Our 4 step process

Step 1: Durock

Cementitious Tile Backer System. This product will not deteriorate if water gets to it, and tile adhered with thinset will not separate from it if it gets wet.

Step 2: Seam Treatment

All seams and corners are treated with a coating of cement based thinset mortar which imbeds a layer of fiberglass mesh tape. This bonds all corners and seams together, and creates a seamless cementitious backer system.

Step 3: Waterproofing

We treat every residential shower with the same proven waterproofing techniques as those specified for commercial steam showers, such as Latacrete Hydroban. Commercial steam showers like those in Spas & Fitness Centers are exposed to water & steam for up to 18 hours per day and is one of the toughest tile environments.
